**Wardha, September 20, 2024:** Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting Wardha in Maharashtra’s Vidarbha region on Friday to participate in the ‘National PM Vishwakarma Programme’ and inaugurate various development initiatives.

The event, marking one year of the Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma scheme, will see PM Modi distributing certificates and loans to beneficiaries, including 18 artisans representing 18 different trades. A commemorative stamp will also be released to celebrate the scheme’s progress, which aims to uplift artisans and integrate them into domestic and global markets.

In a major boost to the textile industry, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone for the PM Mega Integrated Textile Regions and Apparel (PM MITRA) Park in Amravati. This 1,000-acre park, developed by the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC), is one of seven PM MITRA Parks approved by the central government, aiming to make India a global textile hub. The park is expected to attract significant investment and create numerous jobs.

PM Modi will also launch the Maharashtra government’s “Acharya Chanakya Skill Development Centre” scheme, providing free skill development training to 150,000 youths annually. The scheme aims to empower young people aged 15-45, making them self-reliant and equipped for employment opportunities.

Furthermore, PM Modi will inaugurate the “Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Women Startup Scheme,” providing early-stage support to women-led startups in Maharashtra. This scheme signifies the state’s commitment to empowering women entrepreneurs.

PM Modi’s visit to Wardha is expected to bring significant development and employment opportunities to Maharashtra. The launch of these initiatives underscores the government’s focus on skill development, entrepreneurship, and the growth of the textile industry.
