**Lusignan, ECD – September 14, 2024** – A woman was tragically killed this morning after being crushed by a motor lorry on the Lusignan Railway Embankment Road. The incident occurred around 7:45 am near the Lusignan Prison Road.
According to police, the lorry, registered GAE 3066, was being driven by 29-year-old Brian Aaron Lee from Burma, Mahaicony. The woman, whose identity has not yet been released, was riding a bicycle along the road when the accident occurred.
Witnesses report that the lorry, traveling west, made an abrupt stop before proceeding forward, crushing the woman. A video circulating on social media shows this sequence of events.
Emergency Medical Technicians responded to the scene and pronounced the woman dead upon arrival. Her body has been taken to the Memorial Gardens Mortuary for a post-mortem examination.
The driver, Brian Aaron Lee, remains in custody as police investigate the incident.
