**Quebec City, QC** – The Washington Wild Things are on the brink of elimination after falling to the Quebec Capitals 8-6 in Game 3 of the Frontier League Championship Series on Friday night.

The Wild Things started strong, with a two-run homer from Tyreque Reed and a solo shot from Brandon McIlwain putting them ahead 3-0 by the second inning. Tommy Caufield added another homer in the third, followed by an RBI double from Jalen Miller and a solo shot from Caleb McNeely in the fourth.

Despite the hot bats, the Washington defense couldn’t contain the Quebec offense. The Capitals hit four home runs and scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to take the lead for good.

The Wild Things will now have to win Game 4 at 7:05 p.m. Saturday in Quebec City to avoid elimination and force a decisive Game 5.
