Thu Sep 12 06:36:45 UTC 2024: ## Aberdeen Striker Kevin Nisbet Sets Sights on Scottish Premiership Golden Boot

Aberdeen striker Kevin Nisbet is brimming with confidence and has set his sights on winning the Scottish Premiership golden boot. The on-loan forward, who netted the winning goal against Ross County last time out, believes he can challenge the likes of Rangers’ Cyriel Dessers and Celtic’s Kyogo Furuhashi for the top scorer title.

Nisbet, a former Hibernian talisman, is determined to surpass Bojan Miovski’s 26-goal tally from last season. “I think so,” he stated confidently when asked about his chances. “I will see where I am at Christmas and then I will set my targets from there. Once you get that goal, it starts you off. I feel I can go on and get two, three and won’t stop.”

The striker is eager to prove himself after a difficult spell at Millwall last season, where injuries and managerial changes hampered his progress. He believes Aberdeen’s style of play under manager Jimmy Thelin will suit his strengths and allow him to rediscover his best form.

“The football didn’t really suit the way I play at my old club and so I didn’t get a lot of chances,” Nisbet said. “It is about me getting back, getting chances and scoring goals when I can. I need to stay injury-free because I know if I do that I will play well and score goals.”

Nisbet is hoping his performances at Pittodrie will also help him resurrect his Scotland career. He has been impressed by Thelin’s approach and believes it will play to his strengths as a striker. “I watched some stuff on YouTube,” he explained. “That is where I could see his style would suit me to a tee. I can come short or link and spin. As a striker, though, it is all about being in the box and scoring. That is the strongest part of my game.”

With his confidence high and a clear vision for his future, Kevin Nisbet looks set to be a force to be reckoned with in the Scottish Premiership this season.
