**Misano Adriatico, Italy** – Reigning MotoGP champion Francesco Bagnaia continued his dominance at the Misano circuit, leading a Ducati 1-2-3 in the post-race test on Monday.
Bagnaia, riding for the factory Ducati team, topped the timesheets with a best lap of 1m30.619s, just three tenths off his pole time from the Misano Grand Prix.
Pramac’s Franco Morbidelli slotted into second place, a mere 0.161s behind Bagnaia, after a late charge in the final hour. Bastianini, also on a Ducati, finished third, marking a strong showing for the Italian manufacturer.
The test was marked by a slow start due to overnight rain, but as conditions improved, riders began setting competitive lap times. KTM’s Dani Pedrosa led the early stages, with Jorge Martin of Pramac taking over later in the session. However, Bagnaia ultimately set the benchmark in the penultimate hour, before Morbidelli closed the gap in the final stages.
While Ducati dominated the top three positions, KTM’s Pedro Acosta emerged as the best non-Ducati rider, finishing in fourth place. Yamaha’s Fabio Quartararo, riding a prototype M1, placed fifth, ahead of championship leader Jorge Martin and Marc Marquez.
The test also saw Honda and Yamaha aggressively pushing their development programs, with both manufacturers testing a variety of bikes and components.
The eight-hour test provided valuable data for all teams, as they prepare for the upcoming rounds of the MotoGP championship.
