Thu Dec 18 02:40:00 UTC 2025: News Article: Actress Nidhhi Agerwal Mobbed at Film Launch Event in Hyderabad, Sparking Outrage

Hyderabad, India – Actress Nidhhi Agerwal experienced a frightening ordeal at the song launch event for her upcoming film “The Raja Saab” in Hyderabad on Wednesday. As she attempted to leave the event, Agerwal was swarmed by an unruly crowd, making it difficult for her to reach her vehicle.

Footage circulating online shows a visibly distressed Agerwal struggling to navigate the throng, with her security detail working to create a path. Even after entering her car, the actress appeared shaken by the experience.

The incident has drawn strong criticism, with many condemning the behavior of the crowd. Singer Chinmayi Sripada expressed her outrage on X (formerly Twitter), decrying the mob’s actions as akin to a “pack of hyenas” and questioning why such men couldn’t be transported to another planet.

Online users echoed Sripada’s sentiments, with one writing, “This is disturbing to watch. Celebrities also deserve respect and private space.” Others questioned the adequacy of the security arrangements for such a large-scale event.

Neither Nidhhi Agerwal nor the producers of “The Raja Saab” have released a statement regarding the incident.

Agerwal, who debuted in Bollywood with “Munna Michael” in 2017, has since established herself in Telugu and Tamil cinema. She is set to star in the horror-comedy “The Raja Saab,” directed by Maruthi Dasari, alongside Prabhas, Sanjay Dutt, Malavika Mohanan, and Riddhi Kumar. The film is slated for release on January 9th.
