CHENNAI, December 17, 2025 – Tiruvallur district police have apprehended five individuals involved in an interstate synthetic drug trafficking operation, authorities announced today. The arrests follow an intensified surveillance operation targeting the movement of narcotics between Bengaluru and Tamil Nadu.

The suspects, identified as Santhosh (24), Nataraj (25), Kishoth Kumar (24), Thavasi (24), and Sundara Pandian (24), were found in possession of 56 grams of methamphetamine and 8 MDMA tablets (4 grams), along with other incriminating materials. A case has been registered at the Gummidipoondi police station under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, and the accused have been remanded to judicial custody.
