Sun Dec 07 15:50:00 UTC 2025: Packers Activate Star Receiver Jayden Reed Ahead of Crucial Bears Matchup
GREEN BAY, Wis. – The Green Bay Packers received a significant boost to their offense, activating leading receiver Jayden Reed from injured reserve. Reed is expected to play in Sunday’s game against the Chicago Bears at Lambeau Field.
Reed’s return is timely for quarterback Jordan Love, as Reed brings playmaking ability to the slot position. Offensive coordinator Adam Stenavich emphasized Reed’s explosiveness and run-game contributions. Reed’s presence is anticipated to diversify the Packers’ offensive strategies.
Reed had been managing a foot injury prior to breaking his collarbone in Week 2 against the Washington Commanders, after which he elected to undergo surgery for both injuries. Before his injury, Reed had 3 catches for 45 yards and a touchdown. He led the team in receiving yards in both the 2022 and 2023 seasons. Last season, Reed led the Packers with 55 catches for 857 yards and was second to Tucker Kraft in touchdown catches with six. In 2023, Reed set a franchise rookie record with 64 catches to go along with a team-high 793 yards and eight touchdown receptions.
“I think I’m definitely a piece that can help the team, man,” Reed said. “I just hound myself on like bringing juice, so I always say if you juiceless, you useless, so like that’s whether you on the field, off the field, just bringing juice, bringing energy within the team.”
In other roster moves, the Packers claimed defensive lineman Quinton Bohanna off waivers from the Seattle Seahawks and released wide receiver Malik Heath.
