New Delhi, November 8, 2025 – A devastating fire ripped through a cluster of approximately 500 huts near the Rithala Metro station in Delhi’s Rohini area late Friday evening, leaving one man dead and another injured. Authorities believe multiple exploding LPG cylinders fueled the intense blaze, which triggered widespread panic among residents.
The Delhi Fire Services (DFS) received an emergency call at 10:56 p.m. and quickly dispatched multiple fire tenders and firefighting robots to the scene. Thick plumes of smoke billowed from the affected area as residents desperately tried to salvage their belongings and escape the inferno. Police cordoned off the area to prevent further spread and kept additional fire tenders on standby.
Fire officials confirmed that the blaze was brought under control by early morning on Saturday. Sadly, a man identified as Munna perished in the fire, while Mr. Rajesh sustained burn injuries. An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.
