CHITTOOR/PUTTAPARTHI, INDIA – November 7, 2025 – Across the Rayalaseema region, police personnel and students joined together on Friday to commemorate the 150th anniversary of “Vande Mataram,” India’s national song. Events took place in both Chittoor and Sri Sathya Sai districts, highlighting the enduring spirit of patriotism and national unity.

In Chittoor, Superintendent of Police Tushar Dudi led a gathering at Gandhi Bomma Circle. Over a thousand students, government officials, and members of the public participated in a mass singing of “Vande Mataram.” Additional SP S.R. Rajasekhar Raju emphasized the song’s significance as a reminder of India’s spirit and unity, urging the youth to embrace its message of unity and sacrifice. He reminded the crowd that Bankim Chandra Chatterjee penned the song in 1875.
