Helldivers 2 Patch Delayed Due to Certification Issue; Arrowhead Aims for End-of-Week Release

[City, State] – [Date] – Helldivers anxiously awaiting the latest patch for Helldivers 2 will have to hold on a bit longer. Developer Arrowhead Game Studios announced today that a last-minute certification issue has delayed the update, originally slated for release on Tuesday.

In a statement released via the game’s social media channels, Arrowhead explained the reason for the delay and assured players that the team is working diligently to resolve the problem. “Freedoms greetings Helldivers,” the statement began. “We want to share an update on our most recent patch. It was originally planned for Tuesday, but a last-minute certification issue caused a delay.”

The studio is now targeting a release by the end of the week and has prepared its staff to work through the weekend, if necessary, to ensure the patch is delivered as soon as possible. However, Arrowhead also cautioned that there is a chance the issue may not be resolved by Friday, potentially pushing the patch’s release into next week.

“The team is now targeting delivery by the end of this week, with staff ready to work over the weekend,” the statement continued. “We’re doing everything we can to deliver it this week and will provide an update on Friday either way. Thanks for your patience and understanding.”

The upcoming patch promises to bring significant performance improvements, including optimized status effects, physics, asset distribution, VFX, and AI behaviors. Players can also expect reduced stuttering during drop-in sequences on Hive Worlds and improved audio IO performance.

This patch is a priority for Arrowhead, who have reportedly pushed back other content, such as Warbonds, to focus on fixing the game’s performance.

Arrowhead has promised to provide another update on the patch’s status this Friday. Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.
