**Railway Division Intensifies Cleanliness Drive Under Swachhata Pakhwada 2025**
**Kalaburagi, October 7, 2025** – The Solapur Division of Central Railway has completed a series of intensive cleanliness and awareness campaigns at its stations as part of the ongoing Swachhata Pakhwada 2025, reinforcing its commitment to the Swachh Rail–Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
Over the weekend, on October 3rd and 4th, the division focused on “Swachh Stations (Clean Stations),” conducting large-scale cleaning operations at key stations like Solapur, Kalaburagi, Wadi, Kurduvadi, Latur, and Pandharpur. The drives involved deep cleaning platforms, toilets, and drainage systems, as well as inspections of cleaning equipment and sanitation worker gear.
To facilitate waste segregation, twin-type dustbins have been installed at major stations, allowing for the separation of wet and dry waste, as well as biodegradable and non-biodegradable garbage. Stations also performed maintenance of solar panels to ensure power output.
Smaller stations were equipped with single-type dustbins. To address environmental cleanliness public announcements were broadcast to discourage single-use plastic.
“Through these continued efforts, the Solapur Division reiterated its commitment to maintaining clean, green, and passenger-friendly stations in alignment with the vision of Swachh Rail–Swachh Bharat Abhiyan,” the Central Railway said in a statement.
