**Du Plessis Century in Vain as Unicorns Remain Unbeaten in MLC**
**Dallas, TX -** Texas Super Kings captain Faf du Plessis etched his name further into T20 history on Monday with a blistering century against the San Francisco Unicorns at Grand Prairie Stadium. Du Plessis’s knock of 100 off just 51 balls catapulted him into a tie with Babar Azam and Michael Klinger for the most T20 centuries as captain, each with seven.
While du Plessis’s individual brilliance lit up the Dallas crowd, his team ultimately fell short, succumbing to a powerful San Francisco Unicorns chase and losing their first match of the season.
The Super Kings, after winning the toss and electing to bat, posted 198. Saiteja Mukkamalla contributed a valuable 38 but other batters struggled on the day.
The Unicorns began the chase strongly, with Matthew Short (61 off 29) and Finn Allen (78 off 35) setting a torrid pace. Jake Fraser-McGurk contributed 37, while Sanjay Krishnamurthi and Hassan Khan finished the job with 22 balls to spare.
The victory keeps the San Francisco Unicorns undefeated at the top of the Major League Cricket points table, while the Texas Super Kings drop to second place after their first loss of the campaign.
