**Krishna River Water Release Reduced as Rainfall Dips in Maharashtra**

Belagavi, June 20, 2025 – Water release into the Krishna river and its tributaries has seen a slight reduction following decreased rainfall in neighboring Maharashtra. On Friday, the water release was recorded at 67,597 cusecs, approximately 5% less than the previous day.

Inflow into the Lal Bahadur Shastri reservoir in Almatti was 70,440 cusecs, with an outflow of 70,000 cusecs. The dam currently holds approximately 68.3 tmcft of water, against its full capacity of 123 tmcft.

The Raja Lakhamagouda reservoir in Hidkal recorded an inflow of 8468 cusecs and an outflow of 126 cusecs. The dam has approximately 48.9 tmcft of water, compared to its full level of 51 tmcft. The Renuka Sagar dam saw an inflow of 4258 cusecs and an outflow of 194 cusecs, currently holding 12.2 tmcft of water against a full capacity of 37 tmcft.
