**Jinkx Monsoon to Star as Mary Todd Lincoln in Broadway’s “Oh, Mary!”**
**NEW YORK, NY -** Fresh off winning “Drag Race All Stars,” Jinkx Monsoon is set to sashay onto the Broadway stage this summer, taking on the iconic role of Mary Todd Lincoln in the Tony Award-winning historical spoof, “Oh, Mary!”. Monsoon will step into the shoes of current star and playwright Cole Escola, who recently won the Tony Award for best lead actor in a play for the role.
“Oh, Mary!” is a hilarious revisionist take on the Lincoln administration, exploring the complex dynamic between the President and his unruly, alcoholic wife.
Monsoon expressed her excitement, calling Escola a “genius” and the play “one of the best things I’ve ever seen.” She added, “Cole is easily the funniest person alive and I’m just lucky to be alive at the same time.”
Monsoon’s run is scheduled from August 4 to September 27, following Tituss Burgess, who steps in after Escola’s limited return engagement, which concludes this weekend.
