**Rajarajeshwarinagar MLA Accused of Gang Rape and Intimidation**
**Bengaluru, May 20, 2025** – A 40-year-old woman has filed a police complaint against Rajarajeshwarinagar MLA Munirathna, accusing him and four associates of gang rape and issuing death threats. The RMC yard police have registered a case against Munirathna and his alleged accomplices under multiple sections of the Indian Penal Code, including gang rape, spreading dangerous disease, assault, outraging modesty, criminal intimidation, and insulting a woman’s modesty.
According to the complainant, the alleged incident occurred in June 2023 at Munirathna’s office in Yeshwanthpur. She alleges that the accused held a grudge against her due to her affiliation with the BJP and had previously filed false cases against her. Lured to the office under the pretense of assistance, she claims she was then gang-raped and threatened with the murder of her son.
The woman further alleges that the accused warned her not to disclose the incident, threatening to kill her and her family. She states that she developed serious health complications in January 2025 and was diagnosed with an incurable disease. Following a suicide attempt on Monday, the woman was rescued by a neighbor and after recovery, decided to come forward and file the complaint.
Authorities are currently investigating the allegations. Further updates will be provided as they become available.
