Tue May 20 21:10:00 UTC 2025: **Skai Jackson Files Restraining Order Against Ex-Boyfriend, Alleges Domestic Violence**
Los Angeles, CA – Actress Skai Jackson has filed a restraining order against her ex-boyfriend, Deondre Burgin, the father of her son, Kasai, born in January 2025. Court documents obtained by PEOPLE in May 2025 detail allegations of domestic violence throughout their relationship.
Jackson claims Burgin assaulted her while she was holding their newborn son on Mother’s Day in May 2025, alleging he grabbed her hair, slammed her head against a car window, and punched her in the face. The court documents also state that Jackson experienced a six-month period of weekly abuse, including instances of choking, scratching, and having her head slammed against walls.
Jackson further alleges that Burgin once punched through a bathroom door after she locked herself inside, and then choked her “until I could not breathe,” claiming to have video evidence of the incident. She also alleges Burgin damaged her iPhone and television.
The filings also include disturbing allegations from when Jackson was pregnant. She claims Burgin demanded she drink bleach to kill their unborn child, held her at knifepoint, and threatened to stab her in the stomach if she cried for help as he walked her to her car.
A source close to the actress stated that the restraining order was filed to ensure the safety and well-being of her and her child, protecting them from “continued harassment and threats.”
The news comes months after Jackson’s arrest on suspicion of domestic battery in August 2024. Although she was not officially charged.
Burgin, who reportedly goes by the nickname “Yerkky Yerkky” online, is described as a digital creator on his Facebook page. Jackson had previously kept their relationship private, only announcing her pregnancy in November 2024 without identifying Burgin as the father.
