**Indian Shuttlers See Mixed Results at Malaysia Masters**
**Kuala Lumpur, May 21, 2025** – India experienced a day of contrasting fortunes at the Malaysia Masters badminton tournament in Kuala Lumpur today. H.S. Prannoy and Satish Karunakaran delivered stunning upsets in men’s singles, while Olympic medalist P.V. Sindhu suffered an early exit.
Prannoy battled for an hour and 22 minutes to overcome fifth-seeded Kenta Nishimoto of Japan, winning 19-21, 21-17, 21-16. Karunakaran followed suit, swiftly defeating third-seeded Chou Tien Chen of Chinese Taipei 21-13, 21-14 in just 39 minutes. Ayush Shetty contributed to the positive momentum for the men, advancing after a victory against Canada’s Brian Yang.
However, P.V. Sindhu’s struggles continued as she fell to Nguyen Thuy Linh of Vietnam, losing 11-21, 21-14, 15-21. Sindhu’s early departure marks another setback in her recent form.
