**IPL Stint a Game-Changer for Delhi Capitals All-Rounder Vipraj Nigam**

**NEW DELHI –** Delhi Capitals’ young all-rounder Vipraj Nigam is crediting the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) for transforming his career and providing invaluable learning experiences. The 20-year-old, acquired by DC for Rs 50 lakh, has impressed with both bat and ball, and says the opportunity to share a dressing room with some of cricket’s biggest names is proving invaluable.

“There have been a lot of changes in life. With the IPL, things always change – you get the chance to share the field with such big, senior players, to learn from how they go about things, and to experience their approach up close,” Nigam stated. “These are all new experiences for me, and I’ll try to apply the same learnings in my own game.”

Nigam also praised the DC coaching staff for their clarity in defining his role as a genuine all-rounder. “When I was picked by Delhi Capitals, even before that, I had discussions with my coaches and the management. They always told me they see me as an all-rounder…the message was clear – while I would be expected to bowl 2-4 overs, I also had to focus equally on my batting.”

The Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh native also acknowledged the crucial role of his childhood coach and the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in his development. He praised his childhood coach’s advise to hone batting skills. He credits his NCA stint for his evolution as a leg-spinner, shifting his mindset from being a part-time bowler to taking it seriously.

Nigam’s emergence as a promising all-rounder will be one to watch as the IPL season progresses, with the young cricketer eager to implement his learnings and further hone his skills on the big stage.
