**Hyderabad, May 21, 2025 (The Hindu)** – A group identifying themselves as cow vigilantes assaulted a driver and a trader transporting buffaloes near the Lalaguda traffic signal in Hyderabad on Tuesday, May 20, 2025. The incident has sparked outrage and calls for the arrest of the perpetrators.
According to police sources, the attack was led by a man named Vishal, reportedly the head of the vigilante group. Vishal and his associates allegedly intercepted the pickup truck carrying the buffaloes, dragged the driver and trader out, and physically assaulted them. The victims were then taken to the Chilkalguda police station, where police seized the buffaloes and transported them to a local cattle holding facility.
