Tue May 20 16:50:00 UTC 2025: ## ‘Yellowjackets’ Survives! Paramount+ With Showtime Renews Hit Series for Season 4
**Los Angeles, CA** – Buzz is building for another season of “Yellowjackets,” the critically acclaimed and intensely popular survival series from Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson. Paramount+ With Showtime has officially renewed the show for a fourth season, hot on the heels of a shocking season three finale that left viewers reeling.
The season three ender, which dropped on April 11th and later aired on Showtime, has already become Paramount’s most-watched season finale ever, attracting a massive 3 million viewers across multiple platforms within its first week.
“Yellowjackets has become a cultural juggernaut, with season three shattering all previous records,” stated Chris McCarthy, co-CEO of Paramount Global and President of Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios. He praised Lyle and Nickerson for their “utterly singular, genre-defying phenomenon” that blends psychological horror, survival thriller, and coming-of-age drama.
The series follows the harrowing journey of a high school girls’ soccer team who survive a plane crash in the remote wilderness. The third season, deemed the darkest yet, provided answers to long-held mysteries, including the identity of “Pit Girl,” while simultaneously introducing new cliffhangers in both the past and present timelines.
“Yellowjackets” boasts a sprawling cast including Melanie Lynskey, Christina Ricci, Tawny Cypress, Lauren Ambrose, and Sophie Nélisse, among others. Production dates for the fourth season are expected to be announced shortly.
The series is produced for Showtime by Lionsgate Television and Paramount Global Content Distribution, with Lyle, Nickerson, and Jonathan Lisco serving as executive producers.
