**New Delhi, India** – Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has officially entered the cruiser segment with the launch of the Rebel 500, priced at ₹5.12 lakh (ex-showroom). The highly anticipated motorcycle will be available through select BigWing Topline dealerships, with deliveries scheduled to commence in June 2025.

The Rebel 500 boasts a retro cruiser aesthetic, characterized by a low 690mm seat height, bobber-style design, wide tyres, and a steeply raked fuel tank. It will be offered in a single Matt Gunpowder Black Metallic variant and features LED lighting and a classic round headlight.

“We are delighted to introduce the globally acclaimed Rebel 500 in India,” stated Tsutsumu Otani, MD, President, and CEO of HMSI. “This much-anticipated cruiser motorcycle has received tremendous response across international markets, and we are confident it will appeal to Indian riders as well.” He further emphasized the Rebel 500’s blend of style, performance, and Honda’s trusted engineering, anticipating its appeal to both experienced and novice riders.

The Rebel 500 is powered by a 471cc, liquid-cooled, parallel twin-cylinder engine producing 45.5 bhp and 43.3 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. It features telescopic front forks, Showa dual shock absorbers at the rear, and is equipped with dual-channel ABS, a 296mm front disc, and a 240mm rear disc. The bike also includes Dunlop tyres and an inverted LCD screen for displaying ride information. The launch marks Honda’s strategic expansion in the Indian market, aiming to capture the growing interest in cruiser motorcycles.
