**Yadgir, Karnataka – May 19, 2025** – The Health and Family Welfare Department in Yadgir district is intensifying its efforts to educate the public about the risks of dengue fever, following a concerning number of reported cases. According to departmental data, 137 dengue cases were detected in the district in 2024, with an additional 13 cases already confirmed since the start of 2025.
District Health Officer (DHO) Mahesh Biradar stressed the importance of community involvement in combating the disease. “The general public should join hands with the Health Department to prevent the possible spread of dengue disease by ensuring cleanliness in and around their houses,” he said during a recent dengue awareness drive.
