**Hyderabad, May 13, 2025** – Five men have been arrested in connection with the murder of 38-year-old businessman Syed Siddiq, who was stabbed to death at a crowded weekly market in Kompally, Hyderabad, on Sunday evening. The accused, identified as Shaik Ahmad, Shaik Rehmath, Kodimyala Shashi Kumar, Vagmar Raj Kamal, and Varikuppala Jampanna, allegedly attacked Siddiq following a long-standing feud with another businessman, Shaik Mohammad, and his sons.
Police say the dispute stemmed from a previous altercation in March where Siddiq allegedly assaulted Ahmad. Fueled by revenge, Ahmad orchestrated the attack, involving his brother and three accomplices. They stabbed Siddiq multiple times, while others assaulted him with a vehicle key and fists. One of the accused, Jampanna, has a prior criminal record. The arrested individuals are currently in police custody.
