**Thiruvananthapuram, May 12, 2025** – The MV Sirrah, a St. Kitts and Nevis-flagged bulk carrier that had been stranded off the coast of Vizhinjam since May 7 due to engine trouble, finally departed early Monday morning. The vessel, which had alerted port authorities to its predicament, received necessary spare parts on Sunday, allowing for repairs to be completed. While awaiting repairs, the Coast Guard conducted a routine inspection of the vessel amidst heightened tensions along the Indo-Pak border, finding nothing suspicious.
