**Hyderabad, May 5, 2025** – Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari inaugurated the Amberpet flyover today and pledged to expedite the completion of the long-delayed Uppal-Medipally elevated flyover within the next 8-10 months. Speaking at a public meeting, Mr. Gadkari acknowledged the project’s challenges, primarily land acquisition issues, but expressed confidence in its timely completion with the Telangana government’s cooperation.

The Minister highlighted significant infrastructural improvements in Telangana since 2014, noting a doubling of national highway length from 2,511 km to over 5,000 km. He emphasized plans for access-controlled highways connecting Hyderabad to all major urban centers within a five-hour radius.

Further updates included the 75% completion of the LB Nagar to Malkapur six-laning project (₹545 crore), expected to reduce congestion significantly. A major announcement was the launch of the Northern section of Hyderabad’s Regional Ring Road (RRR), a 162-kilometer stretch with a projected cost of ₹16,000 crore.

Mr. Gadkari also suggested exploring innovative solutions like double-decker flyovers and underground parking systems to address Hyderabad’s growing traffic challenges, drawing inspiration from international models.
