**Mumbai, India** – Vaibhav Suryavanshi, a 14-year-old cricketer, has etched his name in the record books by becoming the youngest player ever to feature in an Indian Premier League (IPL) match. At just 14 years and 23 days old, he shattered the previous record held by Prayas Ray Barman (16 years, 157 days).

Suryavanshi, representing the Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2025, made his debut against the Lucknow Super Giants. While not initially in the starting XI, he entered the game as an impact player and immediately made his presence felt. He smashed a six off the very first ball he faced and went on to score a quick-fire 34 runs off 20 balls, including two fours and three sixes. His innings was eventually ended when he was stumped by Markram.
