**Chennai, April 17, 2025** – A 17-year-old boy, Ajay Pal, died after suffering an electric shock in his home in Peravallur on Tuesday night. According to City Police, Ajay, a Plus 2 student residing with his family in GKM Colony, was electrocuted when he switched on a faulty light in the outdoor toilet. His father, Gautham Pal, discovered him unresponsive and rushed him to Government Periyar Nagar Hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival. The body has been sent to Kilpauk Government Hospital for a post-mortem examination, and the Peravallur police are investigating.
