TIRUPATI, Andhra Pradesh – Anna Lezhneva, wife of Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, will visit the Tirumala Venkateswara Swamy Temple on Sunday, April 13, 2025, to offer prayers. She will perform a special puja on Monday, April 14, 2025, to thank the deity for the recovery of her son, Mark Shankar Pavanovich, who was injured in a fire at a cooking school in Singapore on April 8, 2025.
Mark Shankar, who was attending a summer camp, was among several students injured in the three-story building fire in Singapore’s central business district. He sustained burns and smoke inhalation injuries but was rescued by firefighters. Pawan Kalyan immediately flew to Singapore with family members to be with his son, who has since been discharged from the hospital.
The Deputy CM expressed gratitude to everyone for their prayers and support during this difficult time, specifically mentioning the timely response of Singaporean authorities and the assistance provided by Indian migrant workers who helped rescue his son. He also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his support. Pawan Kalyan stated that his son is recovering well. The visit to Tirumala is a gesture of gratitude for the family’s safe return.
