**Hyderabad, April 5, 2025** – Telangana’s IT and Industries Minister, Duddilla Sridhar Babu, has highlighted the state’s growing attractiveness to foreign investors, particularly in the wake of shifting US trade policies. Speaking at the second India–Latin America and Caribbean Countries Business Conclave in Hyderabad on Saturday, Minister Babu asserted that the Trump administration’s tariffs on goods from other nations are creating an advantageous environment for India, and Telangana in particular.

Babu urged delegates from Latin American and Caribbean countries to encourage investment in Telangana, citing the state’s business-friendly atmosphere and proactive efforts to attract foreign capital. He emphasized the state’s commitment to supporting MSMEs through a special policy designed to enhance their global competitiveness.

The minister announced that six international companies, including three from Korea, are set to invest in the Zaheerabad National Investment and Manufacturing Zone (NIMZ). Furthermore, the Telangana government is actively promoting industrial growth in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities and focusing on agro-processing to empower farmers. Babu also noted the shared cultural and economic similarities between India and the Latin American and Caribbean nations as a further incentive for investment. The event was organized by the Global India Business Forum (GIBF).
