**Belagavi, Karnataka, April 4, 2025** – The South Western Railway (SWR) is introducing several special trains to manage increased passenger traffic during the summer season. These additions include services connecting Hubli to Banaras (Varanasi), Hubli to Muzaffarpur, and Mysuru to Bhagat Ki-Kothi.
The Hubli-Banaras special express will run six times, departing Hubli on Saturdays and arriving in Banaras on Mondays. The return journey departs Banaras on Tuesdays and arrives in Hubli on Thursdays. This train will consist of 20 coaches, including AC and sleeper class.
A second special train will operate eight times between Hubli and Muzaffarpur, departing Hubli on Mondays and arriving in Muzaffarpur on Wednesdays. The return journey leaves Muzaffarpur on Thursdays and arrives in Hubli on Saturdays. This route also features a mix of AC and sleeper class seating.
Finally, the Mysuru-Bhagat Ki-Kothi summer express special will run eight times, departing Mysuru on Mondays and reaching Bhagat Ki-Kothi on Wednesdays. The return journey departs Bhagat Ki-Kothi on Fridays and arrives in Mysuru on Sundays. This train will primarily feature AC 3-tier coaches.
All trains will make numerous stops at major stations along their respective routes. The SWR aims to alleviate expected overcrowding during the peak summer travel period with these temporary additions to its schedule.
