**Vijayawada, April 4, 2025** – The Andhra Pradesh government launched new industrial policies aimed at transforming the state into a major industrial hub. Industries & Commerce Minister T.G. Bharath and Minister for MSMEs Kondapalli Srinivas released operational guidelines and launched the “Early Bird” portal for the AP Industrial Development Policy 4.0 (AP IDP 4.0), AP MSME & Entrepreneur Development Policy 4.0 (AP MEDP 4.0), and AP Food Processing Policy 4.0 (AP FPP 4.0).

The guidelines detail eligibility, incentives, application processes, and a single-window facilitation mechanism. The “Early Bird” portal allows eligible units to apply for incentives, rewarding early adopters and streamlining the process. Secretary (Industries & Commerce and Food Processing) N. Yuvaraj highlighted the policies’ commitment to investor confidence, sustainable development, and inclusive industrialization.

Minister Bharath emphasized the alignment of these policies with the government’s vision for balanced regional development, job creation, and environmental responsibility. He cited the establishment of an ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel (AMNS) steel plant in Anakapalli as a significant achievement, secured after competing with Odisha. The plant, slated for completion by 2028, benefits from tailored incentives and secured iron ore supply. The upcoming BPCL refinery in Ramayapatnam and potential expansion of Kia Motors in Anantapur were also highlighted as successes.

Regarding the long-awaited Kadapa Steel Plant, Minister Bharath confirmed ongoing government efforts to secure its establishment, leaving the door open for potential investors like the Jindals.
