**Amaravati, March 29, 2025** – The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) is facing criticism for the delayed release of results for the Group 2 Mains examination, which concluded on February 23rd. While preliminary answer keys were released the same day, and objections were accepted until February 28th, the results have yet to be announced, causing anxiety among candidates. The delay, exceeding a month, is unusual, as results typically are released within two to three weeks. Sources indicate the delay is due to a dispute over roster point fixation, with the APPSC awaiting further clarification from the government before releasing the results.
Separately, in Telangana, the SC Gurukul Society has announced a policy mandating only female staff in all categories for girls’ schools and colleges under its purview. This decision, based on GO No. 1274 issued by the General Administration Department, cites Rule 22 (A)(3) of the Telangana Subordinate Service Rules. The Society clarified that this policy does not apply to boys’ schools, which will maintain a general roster with both male and female staff. The Society has directed officials, including zonal and district coordinators, and principals, to strictly adhere to this policy, warning of strict action against any violation.
