Sun Mar 16 11:00:00 UTC 2025: ## Tollywood courtroom drama “Court – State vs A Nobody” scores big at the box office
**Visakhapatnam, India –** The Telugu courtroom drama “Court – State vs A Nobody,” starring Priyadarshi, has enjoyed a successful opening weekend, exceeding expectations at the box office. The film, which released on Holi (March 14th), saw a significant increase in earnings on its second day, March 15th.
According to film industry tracker Sacnilk, the movie netted ₹4.75 crore domestically on Day 2, bringing its two-day total to ₹9.99 crore. Early Sunday estimates suggest an additional ₹1.09 crore was earned by 1:50 PM. However, the filmmakers claim a much higher figure, stating on Instagram that the film grossed over ₹15.90 crore worldwide in its first two days.
Directed by Ram Jagadeesh and produced under the Wall Poster Cinema banner, “Court – State vs A Nobody” is a 2-hour 25-minute film set in 2013 Visakhapatnam. The film features a compelling narrative centered around Harsh Roshan’s character, who faces false accusations under the POCSO Act due to the machinations of a caste fanatic. The film also stars Sridevi Apalla, Sai Kumar, and others. Presented by Nani and reportedly made on a budget of ₹4 crore, the film saw a 54.19 percent Telugu occupancy on Saturday. The disparity between the reported figures highlights the ongoing debate surrounding box office reporting methodologies in the Indian film industry.
