HYDERABAD, INDIA – Director Ram Jagadeesh’s debut film, “Court,” starring Priyadarshi, is set to release on October 14th. The film, produced by Nani’s Walposter Cinema banner, delves into a sensitive subject: cases involving the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POSCO) Act.
Jagadeesh described the film as reflecting the reality of many Indian families, stating, “Our lives are like this film; the story of our homes plays out in a courtroom.” He explained the film’s genesis, stating that while the POSCO Act is crucial, there’s limited public awareness. Inspired by a real-life POSCO case that shocked him, Jagadeesh created a fictional narrative based on the numerous similar cases reported in Telugu states. The film aims to highlight the importance and complexities of the law while presenting a compelling storyline.
