**New Delhi, March 13, 2025** – Delhi police conducted a major operation Wednesday, arresting 28 Bangladeshi nationals accused of illegally residing in the city. The arrests spanned three districts: Southeast (11, including two minors), South (13), and Northwest (4).

According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southeast) Ravi Kumar Singh, investigations revealed the individuals entered India illegally via West Bengal’s Benapole and Hakimpur borders before travelling to Delhi by train. They were residing in various locations without proper documentation.

The police have urged market and residents’ welfare associations to remain vigilant against employing or renting to undocumented foreign nationals.
