Mon Mar 10 18:01:36 UTC 2025: ## Telangana CM Accuses BJP of Hypocrisy Over Land Acquisition

**Hyderabad, March 11, 2025** – Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has accused the BJP of hypocrisy regarding land acquisition for the Regional Ring Road project. He pointed out a discrepancy between Union Ministers’ calls for expedited land acquisition and the protests of BJP MPs Etala Rajender and K. Laxman against the project. “Why this dichotomy?” Mr. Reddy questioned.

The CM further criticized Union Coal Minister G Kishan Reddy, questioning the latter’s contribution to Telangana’s development, particularly in contrast to the state’s Metro Rail project initiated under the late S Jaipal Reddy. He also alleged that Mr. Kishan Reddy avoided an all-party meeting to avoid displeasing BRS chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao.

Mr. Reddy reiterated the state government’s demand for increased funds from the Centre, reminding the Union Ministers of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s earlier promises. He challenged Mr. Kishan Reddy to a debate on the funds secured for Telangana and the state’s contribution to the national economy.

Dismissing criticism from BRS working president K. T. Rama Rao, Mr. Reddy claimed that KTR’s words hold no weight and accused KCR of plunging the state into massive debt over the past decade. He also expressed a desire for KCR’s presence in the Assembly.
