Tue Mar 11 12:55:42 UTC 2025: ## Dalit Girl Kidnapped, Raped in Uttar Pradesh: Four Arrested
**Ballia, Uttar Pradesh –** A 17-year-old Dalit girl was allegedly kidnapped and raped by four men in Uttar Pradesh, police confirmed Tuesday. The incident occurred on March 6th, when the girl, a resident of the Sukhpura police station area in Ballia district, was abducted and taken to Mathura where the assault took place.
The victim managed to escape on March 9th and return home. Following a complaint filed by her mother, a case was registered on Monday against the four accused – Bihari Saini, Ashok Yadav, Jiut Verma, and Arvind Sharma – under various sections of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita, the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, and the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
Three of the accused are from the Sukhpura police station area, according to Circle Officer (city) Shyamkant. Police are currently investigating the case.
