**Nagercoil, March 10, 2025** – Kottar police have arrested T. Sudhan, a resident of Thattanvilai, in connection with the murder of 46-year-old K. Velu from Vaidhyanadhapuram. Velu was killed on March 8th.

Police formed five special teams to investigate the crime, following a lead that led them to Sudhan’s hideout. The investigation revealed that Velu was robbed of ₹650 and subsequently murdered. Sudhan and an accomplice intercepted Velu as he returned home from his store, attacking him with a stone and setting him and his motorbike on fire.

Sudhan is in custody, and police are actively searching for his accomplice. The motive appears to be robbery.
