**KASARAGOD, March 10, 2025** – A post-mortem examination has confirmed that a 15-year-old girl and her 42-year-old neighbor, found dead near Mundaekappou ground in Kasaragod on March 9th, died from suffocation. The bodies, discovered after a extensive search operation involving police and local residents, were found to be over 20 days old and mummified, according to the report from Kannur Medical College Hospital. The pair had been missing since February 12th. Police recovered mobile phones and a knife from the scene.
