**CHENNAI, March 5, 2025** – The Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board (TNUHDB) has launched an initiative to accelerate the distribution of pending sale deeds to beneficiaries under the Madras Urban Development Plan (MUDP) and the Tamil Nadu Urban Development Plan (TNUDP). Fifty new Community Participation Assistants (CPAs) have been appointed to expedite the process.
These CPAs will inspect 12,495 plots across 322 project areas in Chennai, focusing on beneficiaries who have yet to receive their sale deeds or haven’t submitted necessary documentation. Each CPA is tasked with inspecting 25 plots daily, aiming to complete 250 plot inspections within ten days. Zonal supervisors and junior assistants will oversee the work, and executive engineers and community development officers will verify the collected data. Daily status reports are mandated to ensure efficiency. The initiative follows a recent review meeting chaired by TNUHDB Managing Director Anshul Mishra.
