**Mysuru, March 5, 2025** – A 46-year-old member of the Jenu Kuruba tribal community was found dead near the Mangala village in the Kundukere range of Bandipur Tiger Reserve on Wednesday. Forest officials suspect Kariya, a resident of Aadinakanive village, may have been the victim of a wild animal attack. His body was discovered approximately 30 meters from the forest boundary. After being transported to a Gundlupet hospital for a post-mortem examination, his remains were released to his family. The incident highlights the risks faced by communities living near wildlife reserves.
