**DHANBAD, JHARKHAND (March 2, 2025):** A CISF jawan stationed at the Vishwakarma Project J Patch Camp of BCCL in Dhanbad’s Dhanasar police station area attempted suicide on Saturday night. The jawan, identified as SK Rao, a native of Telangana, was reportedly found injured around 9 PM.
Fellow CISF personnel immediately rushed him to Patliputra Nursing Home in Jodaphatak. However, due to the severity of his injuries, he was subsequently transferred to Asharfi Hospital and then to Durgapore Mission Hospital for further treatment. His condition remains critical.
Dhanasar CISF Inspector SK Singh stated that Rao had been distressed for several days, possibly due to family problems. The CISF branch in Dhanbad has launched an investigation to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the incident, including whether the injury was self-inflicted or caused by other means. The investigation is ongoing.
