**MARINETTE COUNTY, Wis. (WBAY)** – Jonathan Janusak, a Crivitz resident, was sentenced to 25 years in prison followed by 15 years of extended supervision on Monday for Repeated Sexual Assault of a Child. The sentence, the maximum allowed, follows a three-day jury trial in November 2024 where Janusak was found guilty.
According to the Marinette County District Attorney’s Office, Janusak committed at least three sexual assaults against a victim aged between 12 and 14, between May 2022 and February 2024. District Attorney DeShea Morrow argued for the lengthy sentence, citing the need to protect the community and Janusak’s lack of remorse. This is not Janusak’s first offense; he has a prior conviction from 2010 for 3rd Degree Sexual Assault.
