Mon Feb 17 14:46:34 UTC 2025: ## Tiruchi NIT Students Win Top Prize at National Management Meet

**Thanjavur, February 17, 2025** – Students from the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Tiruchi, emerged victorious at the 16th edition of PROGYAN 2025, a national-level management meet held at SASTRA Deemed University. The event, themed “Legacy of Arthasasthra,” saw nearly 180 students from 16 institutions compete in six events covering areas such as management, marketing, finance, business analytics, bidding, and human resources.

R.K. Ramachandran, Associate Director and National Talent Lead at Deloitte India, inaugurated the event, emphasizing the evolution of India’s Global Capability Centres (GCCs) from basic IT support to innovation hubs. He stressed the importance of bridging the gap between academic learning and industry expectations through internships and continuous upskilling.

The winning NIT Tiruchi team received the overall trophy, while prizes totaling ₹50,000 were awarded to winners across all events. V. Palanimuthu, Director of NIFTEM, Thanjavur, delivered the valedictory address and presented the awards. The event was presided over by S. Selvabaskar, Dean of the School of Management at SASTRA Deemed University.
