Mon Feb 17 15:48:27 UTC 2025: ## BJP Leaders Accuse Congress of Inciting Caste Riots Ahead of Telangana Elections

**Hyderabad, February 17, 2025** – BJP leaders in Telangana have accused the Congress party of inciting caste riots through its advocacy for a caste census, alleging the party is prioritizing votes over development. Former Minister and Mahabubnagar MP D.K. Aruna stated that the Congress, previously blamed for communal clashes, is now employing this tactic ahead of upcoming elections.

Aruna criticized the Congress for campaigning in Maharashtra and Delhi using Telangana’s governance as a “role model,” a strategy she claimed failed to resonate with voters. She advocated for a BJP win, arguing for a “double engine” government (BJP at the state and national levels) to improve development. She highlighted the Modi government’s developmental initiatives and credited the Prime Minister’s popularity for the BJP’s success in the last parliamentary elections. Aruna also emphasized the central government’s funding for village infrastructure projects.

In a separate campaign event, former Minister Eatala Rajender echoed these sentiments, accusing the Congress of denying fee reimbursement to students, leading to financial hardship for colleges and their staff. Rajender predicted that voters would punish the Congress as they did the previous ruling party, BRS. Both BJP leaders stressed the need for a BJP victory in the upcoming Telangana elections.
