**Vadodara, India (February 16, 2025)** – Kerala’s Minnu Mani delivered a stellar performance for the Delhi Capitals in their Women’s Premier League (WPL) match against the Mumbai Indians on Saturday. The off-spinner, playing a key role in restricting Mumbai to 164 runs, took 1/23 with an impressive economy rate of under 6. Only teammate Shikha Pandey boasted a better economy (3.50).

Mani’s contributions extended beyond her economical bowling. She executed a stunning run-out of Amelia Kerr, deflecting a powerful shot from Nat Sciver-Brunt onto the stumps. Despite Sciver-Brunt’s unbeaten 80 and Harmanpreet Kaur’s quick 42, Mumbai’s innings lacked significant contributions from other batters.

Mani, introduced in the sixth over, kept a tight rein on the scoring, particularly against the in-form Sciver-Brunt. While conceding a boundary to a reverse sweep, she responded effectively, bowling three consecutive dot balls to Harmanpreet Kaur in her second spell. In her final over, she conceded only six runs and claimed the wicket of Sanskriti Gupta, caught at cover.

Mani’s performance, alongside Shikha Pandey’s, highlighted the impact of the Delhi Capitals’ bowling attack. Two of the four overs without boundaries were bowled by Mani.
