**PALAKKAD, February 17, 2025** – The Integrated Civil Engineers Council (ICEC) has established a new chapter in Palakkad, Kerala. The inauguration ceremony, held at the Integrated Rural Technology Centre (IRTC), Mundoor, was presided over by ICEC Malabar zone chairman K. Ashraf Ali, with state chairman Shinoj P.S. officiating the opening.

The event included a technical session led by MES College of Engineering director Mahadevan Pillai on concrete crack repair. Speakers highlighted the ICEC’s role in professional development for civil engineers. The council offers various membership levels based on experience and educational qualifications. The Palakkad chapter’s chairman, Murali Krishnan, and vice-chairman, Radhakrishnan, expressed confidence in the chapter’s ability to foster a more proactive approach among civil engineers in the region.
