**New York, NY** – Apple’s upcoming iPhone SE 4 is projected to be a significant success, with analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicting sales exceeding 20 million units in 2025. Kuo forecasts shipments of 10 million units in the first half of the year and another 12 million in the second half, outperforming previous SE models.
The new budget-friendly phone, rumored to retail around $499 (a price increase from the previous generation), is expected to bridge the sales gap between iPhone 16 and iPhone 17 launches. Despite the price hike, it remains significantly cheaper than the base iPhone 16 model.
The iPhone SE 4 is expected to boast several upgrades, including a 6.1-inch OLED display, Face ID, USB-C support, and the A18 chip—found in the iPhone 16. While inheriting many features from the iPhone 14 and iPhone 16, some functionalities might be slightly downgraded. The device marks the end of an era, eliminating the iconic Home button and Lightning port. The inclusion of Apple’s AI features is also expected to be a major draw.
However, Kuo also points to potential patent litigation with Qualcomm over the iPhone SE 4’s custom modem. Qualcomm reportedly believes legal action could lead to patent licensing fees from Apple.
