Thu Feb 13 08:09:29 UTC 2025: ## YouTuber Summoned Again Over Controversial Podcast Question

**Mumbai, India** – YouTuber Samay Raina has been summoned for a second time this week by the Maharashtra Cyber Cell regarding a controversial question posed by podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia on Raina’s show, “India’s Got Latent.” Allahbadia’s question, which asked a contestant to choose between watching their parents have sex daily or participating once, sparked outrage and a debate about freedom of speech and decency.

Raina, currently in the US, has requested an extension to respond to the summons, stating he will return on March 17th. He previously deleted all episodes of the show from YouTube and issued a statement promising full cooperation with the investigation. Allahbadia also issued a video apology, calling his comment a lapse in judgment.

The controversy has led to a wide-ranging investigation. Mumbai Police have recorded statements from seven individuals, including social media influencer Apoorva Makhija, and are expecting Allahbadia to appear in the coming days. Over 40 individuals associated with the show have been summoned by the Maharashtra Cyber Department. A separate case has also been registered against Allahbadia and four others by the Guwahati Police.

The issue even reached the Indian Parliament, with Shiv Sena MP Naresh Mhaske calling for stricter social media regulation. Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, while stating he hadn’t seen the clip, cautioned against exceeding the limits of free speech.

The National Commission for Women (NCW) has also taken notice, summoning Allahbadia, Raina, Makhija, Jaspreet Singh, Ashish Chanchlani, and the show’s producers to appear before them on February 17th in New Delhi. The incident highlights the ongoing tension between freedom of expression and societal norms in the digital age.
